The JetNet 5428G series, the 19-inch 24+4G Managed Ethernet Ring Switch, is equipped with 24 10/100 Base-TX ports plus 4 Gigabit RJ45 / MINI GBIC combo ports (JetNet 5428G) and 2G combo and 2 Gigabit / 100M SFP sockets (JetNet 5428G-2G-2FX). It is a special design for control rooms where high-port density and performance are required. The Gigabit Combo port design allows 10/100/1000 triple speed, and the SFP ports accept all types of Gigabit SFP transceivers, including Gigabit SX, LX, LHX, ZX and XD for several connections and distances. The device is mounted within the 19 inch rack, along with other 19 inch public servers or other network devices. When the lower industrial switches are aggregated to the JetNet 5428G, the 24+4G design allows connecting up to 12 100M rings plus 2 copper/fiber gigabit or FE rings. Each of the ring has its own ring redundancy protection. This is a unique and Korenix patent protected ring technology. The low power consumption and the fan-less design prolong the product life time.

  1. High Bandwidth and Performance for Large Mount of Video in The Monitor Room
    The JetNet 5428G can perform as an access-level switch in industrial environments ensuring the high bandwidth data transmission. The gigabit combo ports allow users to trunk up to 8G uplink bandwidth and/or to form two independent gigabit rings for great amount of video transmission. Featuring wire speed forwarding capability and Jumbo frame, the gigabit traffic can be transmitted without any packet loss or collision.
  2. MSR Ring Redundancy for Expanded and Reliable Video Traffic Transmission
    JetNet 5428G supports Korenix patented MSR redundant ring with less than 5ms failure recovery time and “zero” ms restoration time to deliver high quality video images in a reliable, scalable surveillance network. Featuring the MultiRing technology, it fits the flexible surveillance network applications allowing direct connection and aggregation of up to 12 100M rings and 2 copper / fiber gigabit or fast Ethernet rings into a single switch.
  3. Full Network Management for Efficient Video Transmission
    To fulfill the advanced management and control requests for IP surveillance in the control rooms, the JetNet 5428G supports various advanced software features, such as VLAN, LACP, GVRP, QoS, IGMP Snooping, SNMP V3, LLDP, etc. to complete the demand and greatly satisfy technicians’ requests. In addition, JetView Pro, specially designed for IP-based mission critical surveillance applications, helps administrators automatically discover devices and efficiently manage the video surveillance network performance in control rooms.
  4. Advanced Security for Secure Video Management
    In the surveillance central room, advanced security features are required and must be implemented. The ACL (Access Contol List) provide “Permit” and “Deny” rules for any or specific host. The IP address, MAC address and port ID are the destinations allowed to be applied the rules. With ACL, the security of the surveillance system can be ensured.
