MRI-120-F4G-PSE8 - Industrial Networking Solutions – Industrial Ethernet Switches and Routers



PoE technology is designed to eliminate the need for separate installation of power cables to equipment. Power is provided to equipment over the UTP data cabling. The MRI-120-F4G –PSE/8 is a 20 port managed PoE switch solution. The 8 PoE ports and 8 10/100 BaseT ports are ideal for local equipment connections whilst the 4 Gigabit combo ports can be used for a ring solution with uplink connections. The switch is manufactured with 4 combo ports- RJ-45 10/100/1000 BaseT copper connections that are bypassed when 1000 Base-X SFPs are mounted giving the user great configuration flexibility.

The MRI series is designed for use in industrial environments such as industrial automation, machine building, building automation and CCTV surveillance. No fans or other moving parts and only industrial grade components are used. The product is type-tested and approved according to a variety of industrial standards.

The MRI-series support single ring as well as dual homing rings technology which can be used for ring coupling. The ring protocol has a reconfiguration time of less than 300 ms and seamless network restoration. The MRI series also supports STP/RSTP in case of need for standard protocol. STP/RSTP and Westermo ring protocols can be combined meaning that the MRI can be integrated with products from other vendors in redundant network solutions.

You can safely access your switch from anywhere in the network, or directly to the product via a console port. The HTTPS secured web configuration interface has been designed ’Made Easy’, setting up a redundant ring or a VLAN is just a few clicks away. For more advanced configuration, you will find an SSH encrypted industry standard CLI which allows extremely detailed settings. For safe handling and MIB readout the switch is also equipped with SNMPv3.
